In the mixing view, tap the "+" button to add sounds to your current mix. You can adjust the volume of each sound individually and save your favorite combinations as presets.
Can I use Calm Tones while using other apps?
Yes! Calm Tones supports background playback. Your sounds will continue playing when you switch to other apps or lock your device.
How do Live Activities work?
On iOS 16.1+, you can control Calm Tones directly from your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Play, pause, and adjust volume without opening the app.
What are location-based sound recommendations?
When you enable location access, Calm Tones can suggest appropriate soundscapes for your current environment, like ocean sounds when you're near the beach.
Is my data private and secure?
Absolutely! All audio processing happens locally on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Troubleshooting
Audio Issues
- Make sure your device volume is turned up
- Check that silent mode is disabled
- Try restarting the app
- Ensure you have sufficient storage space
Background Playback Issues
- Check that Background App Refresh is enabled for Calm Tones in Settings
- Ensure Low Power Mode is not restricting background activity
- Make sure the app has permission for background audio
Live Activities Not Working
- Live Activities require iOS 16.1 or later
- Check that Live Activities are enabled in Settings > Face ID & Passcode
- Ensure Calm Tones has permission for Live Activities in Settings
